Privacy Policy

The short version: your photographs never leave your device. The compression happens inside your browser. What this site does involve is advertising, which reads pages and sets cookies — that is described in full below.

1. Who we are

PhotoZip ("this site") is operated by Chen Lei, contactable at support@pipiboy.com. This policy explains what happens to information when you use the site.

2. Your photographs

Your photographs and other files are never transmitted to us, and we never receive them.

The site is written so that reading, resizing and re-encoding a photo happens entirely within your browser, using the JavaScript and HTML canvas facilities your browser already provides. There is no upload step in the code. When you download a compressed photo, or a ZIP of several, that file is assembled locally on your device and handed to your browser's own download mechanism.

Because of this, we cannot see your photos, cannot recover them for you, and have no copy to delete on request. Closing the tab discards everything the site was working on.

You can confirm the absence of an upload step yourself: load the page, then disable your network connection before compressing a photo. It continues to work.

3. What is collected automatically

Like most websites, this one is served by a hosting provider which records standard technical request data — IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested, and a timestamp — in server logs. This is used to serve the page and to detect abuse, and is retained according to the host's own policy.

4. Advertising

This site is free and is funded by advertising, served through Ezoic. Ezoic and the advertising partners it works with (which include Google and other demand sources) may:

• set and read cookies, and read device identifiers or advertising IDs;
• collect your IP address, approximate location derived from it, and technical information about your browser and device;
• record which pages you viewed and which ads were shown or clicked;
• use this information to select advertising, to measure its performance, and to limit how often you see the same ad.

We do not receive your photographs, and none of the above involves them.

These partners act as independent controllers of the data they collect for advertising, under their own privacy policies. See Ezoic's privacy policy and Google's partner-sites notice for details.

5. Your choices and rights

Consent. Where the law requires it — in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and several other jurisdictions — a consent message is shown before advertising cookies are set, and you may accept or refuse. You can change your choice at any time through the "privacy" or "consent" link in the page footer.

Opting out of personalised advertising. You can also opt out through aboutads.info (US), youronlinechoices.com (EU/UK), or your device's own advertising settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).

Access, correction, deletion. We hold no personal data about you beyond the server log data described in section 3, because the site has no accounts and no database. Requests concerning advertising data should be directed to the relevant advertising partner, as they are the controller of it. For anything relating to this site itself, contact support@pipiboy.com.

Legal basis. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis for advertising cookies is your consent, and for server logging it is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site.

6. Cookies

The compression tool itself sets no cookies and requires none. Cookies on this site come from advertising, and are described in section 4. Blocking third-party cookies, or refusing consent, does not affect your ability to compress photos — the tool is entirely independent of the advertising.

7. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the site or in the law. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
